  • Bene Beauty is a cosmetics trading company started by Vicky Xie after many years working in the beauty and personal care industry in China, in particular the gifting segment, where she built up extensive industry knowledge and relationships with a network of suppliers in the Far East while managing complex product development projects for western powerhouses like Boots and Walmart.

    Bene Beauty needed a brand identity and website that would convey the value that it creates for western beauty and personal care brands bringing new product lines from concept to market.

  • Following a period of research and interviews with key member of the team, we held a brand strategy workshop to find out what makes Bene Beauty so special.

    We knew that western companies can experience friction when dealing with Chinese suppliers. We also knew that Vicky has a deep understanding of western markets and the way that western brands work. And that this is coupled with her meticulous attention to detail when bringing complex product lines, including multiple SKUs in the gifting segment, from concept to production.

    Bene Beauty acts as an easy one-stop solution, offering valuable advice on product development, simultaneously sourcing product components from an array of different suppliers, and managing the entire production and shipping process. They smooth the experience, removing headaches while ensuring maximum efficiency. This is what we needed to convey in the brand identity and on the website.

    We created a stylish identity that would resonate with western beauty brand owners. The logo combines a minimalist bold sans serif font that says ‘beauty industry’ with a customised, smoothed out, flowing serif, segments of which were blown up and used as a design element across the whole identity. The monochrome palette reflects the industry and acts as a neutral base on which to showcase their products. The team wanted to use soft pink accents to keep the feel feminine and sleek.

    We designed a full set of branded materials, including business cards, an exhibition stand, exhibition posters and merchandise for Cosmoprof HK. We designed a website with a membership zone where potential customers can view sample product ranges, while restricting access to competitors.

  • Bene Beauty was well received at their Cosmoprof debut, generating considerable interest from attendees. The website has ranked well for relevant search terms and has helped the company source new customers and collaborations.
